Vermont Department of Labor Instructor - Electrical Technology in Barre, Vermont

Ability to supervise students including management of student behavior; use of technology; instructional planning and delivery; classroom and fieldwork/laboratory safety, security, set-up, and organization of classroom and shop. The ability to interact and communicate with students, support staff, parents/guardians, and other internal and external stakeholders with professionalism.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

- Holds and maintains or Eligible to hold a valid Vermont State Educator License

- Holds a minimum of an Associates degree or its equivalent - Holds the Industry Credential/Electricians License

- Five or more years of recent industry experience in the electrical field and familiarity with VT Electrical Code - required - Working knowledge of the Vermont State Proficiencies and the VT Agency of Education CTE Competencies required.

- Experience with classroom management to ensure the safety of all students.

- Understanding student learning differences.

- Patience and persistence.

- Ability to supervise students in both the classroom and lab areas

- Ability to attend required or requested training, meetings, and professional growth activities outside of school hours (i.e. summers and after-school).

The annual Salary is competitive in Vermont. This is a school year position covered by the local Education Association collective bargaining agreement. Applications only accepted electronically.
