SAUK COUNTY Administrative Services Coordinator in BARABOO, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Join our team and make a difference in your community as an Administrative Services Coordinator for the Veteran Services Department. The purpose of the Administrative Services Coordinator is to manage the operations of Sauk County Veterans Service Department, including the development and oversight of all programs. Essential Duties Supervise and assign tasks to Benefit Specialist and Administrative Support Orientate, evaluate, and monitor office/clerical policies and procedures for the Veterans Service Department Ensure quality control and review of claims and other applications submitted to the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs and the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs. Track case progress and status and update veterans as needed Maintain knowledge of current benefit programs and requirements through training, seminars and informational updates from providing agencies. Inform clients regarding changes affecting entitlement to benefits. Coordinate office policy to comply with VA technology/program changes Schedule trainings and meetings for staff to stay updated with new and/or changing procedures and programs Coordinate the use of office computer technology to ensure maximum potential of programs Claim Management to include identify, correct, monitor claim problems and potential issues by taking appropriate steps to correct and if necessary, let appropriate staff know what steps to take, in a time sensitive nature. Maximize organization productivity. Assist clients who have applied for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Supplemental Security Disability Income (SSDI) to determine their eligibility for Federal VA pension benefits and assist with the application process Intermediating on the veteran\'s behalf with the VA to solve issues with development and promulgation of claims Act on employee related issues in absence of the Veterans Service Officer (CVSO) and Assistant Veterans Service Officer. Ensure office records comply with requirements for various organizations and entities; including Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs, US Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Veterans Service Commission. Assist the CVSO with creating the office budget, meeting deadlines & monitoring throughout the year. Prepare quarterly newsletters by gathering information, writing copy, editing, and preparing for publication. E-mailing to all veterans in our email database. Supervise submission of grants. Direct and implement office accounting operations including payroll, financial and statistical report development. Receive customer and employee complaints and coordinate with CVSO and Assistant CVSO to implement solutions. Act as office liaison with MIS, USDVA, and WDVA Information Technology.
