Covenant Health PHARMACY TECHNICIAN in Bangor, Maine

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Techs prepare and assist in dispensing controlled and non-controlled medications, in accordance with State and Federal regulations, physician orders, and hospital standards of practice. Individuals will be required to perform tasks consistent with the Mission and Core Values of SJB. Will need to display effective communication skills with individuals within and outside the department of Pharmacy. Perform all tasks associated with documentation required by regulation and hospital standard of practice. Performs all duties associated with sterile product preparation, main pharmacy department distribution process, maintaining automated dispensing cabinet inventory. Available to work 7-days a week, including holidays, during the departments' posted hours of operation. Maintain a high level of productivity and patient / customer satisfaction.

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Experience: No previous experience

Licensure: Maine Pharmacy Technician License unencumbered and in good standing

Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) (within three months of hire)
