Stryker Operations Manager - Thailand in Bangkok, Thailand

This role will lead the setup and continuous development of a robust 3PL/4PL management system in Thailand, managing service providers and interfacing with commercial and other functional teams with the objective to optimize the utilization of working capital and increase service levels for customers. This role will also play a critical part in orthopedic kit management of short term & long-term consignment kits and drive efficiency & accuracy of the process with 3PL.

He/She will be responsible to build a best in class Operations team in Thailand while working closely with other markets in East Asia to benchmark local practices. He/She will also partner with the Planning team to monitor inventory levels for stock allocation and fulfilment, and to provide timely responses to customers’ enquiries.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Lead the Thailand operations team with a strong focus on people development.

  • Be the change agent in leading & fine-tuning the 4PL management process including kit management, achieving this through a close working relationship with Order Management, Commercial and other functional teams.

  • Be the primary contact for regular reviews with 4PLs to drive and improve performance quality.

  • Own the physical inventory control together with 4PL and maintain high inventory accuracy & minimize any stock variance.

  • Own and drive functional improvements through root cause analysis and problem solving.

  • Work with IT to deploy systems and tool strategies. to simplify & automate processes.

  • Define and analyze operational KPIs, and develop improvement strategies.

  • Triage and resolve any issues or customer complaints based on process and data analytics.

  • Owns the budget and identifies initiatives to drive down total Variable Manufacturing Cost.

  • Support the implementation of the Corporate and East Asia/HK supply chain structure and objectives.

This job requires a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or related fields.

Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years of progressive working experience in Supply Chain/3PL management in MNC commercial settings. Medical Device experience is an advantage

  • At least 2-3 years of people management experience

  • Fluent in verbal and written English to communicate with different stakeholders & ability to work with/influence senior stakeholders

  • Project management experience is preferable

  • JDE / SAP implementation experience is a strong plus

  • Excellent data processing and analytical skills

  • Results-oriented with strong negotiation & influencing skills

  • Confidence and flair in managing stakeholder expectations and lead discussions
