We are seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to join our Product Systems Group within the Acute Care Diagnostics R&D team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving engineering excellence and design control activities to ensure the development and delivery of high-quality medical diagnostic solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to build a Systems Engineering team from the ground up, shaping its structure, culture, and capabilities

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the systems engineer, including hiring and onboarding new team members. Play a key role in strategic projects related to Quality Management Systems, Design Control, Systems Engineering Tools and Data Management strategies. Develop and implement a roadmap for engineering excellence to drive continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Continuously evaluate industry best practices and technologies to drive process improvements and engineering excellence.

Initial Milestones:

  • First 6 months: Onboard yourself, complete team hiring, and begin team onboarding.

  • First year: Finalize team onboarding and ensure team effectiveness, start contributing to strategic Quality Management Systems projects.

  • Second year: Establish an engineering excellence roadmap and initiate its implementation, focusing on stakeholder management and continuous improvement.

This position is part of the Radiometer R&D located in Bangalore, India and will be hybrid. At Radiometer, our vision is to improve global healthcare with reliable, fast, and easy patient diagnoses.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in systems engineering, medical engineering, or a related field.

  • Ability to hire, coach and mentor systems engineers with 3+ years’ experience in people management.

  • Hands-on experience in medical device standards (ISO 13485, ISO 14971 etc.) and regulations (FDA QSR, EU IVDR, MDR etc.)

  • Proven experience with Quality Management System process ownership.

  • Ability to communicate, positively influence and negotiate at all levels and across multi-disciplined teams within an organization.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Formal Systems Engineering qualifications (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, ISO 15288) or working towards.

  • Experience in management of tools like Polarion, DOORs, SAS JMP is a plus

  • Experience in Quality Assurance within Medical Device industry is a plus
