Your Role and Responsibilities

We are IBM ZOS (Z Operating System) Platform Management professional working on Z Enterprise Systems and we build the most secure systems for our Banking and Enterprise customers to deploy their mission critical applications. Also, We provide utmost security and Data management on Z systems. The mission critical applications run on zOS and all the Platform management / Simplification is taken care by a IBM ZOS product. The platform Simplification / Modernisation product mainly focus on HCD IO configuration and zArchitecture. IOCP knowledge is useful. This would help customers to support zOS IO configuration with a unified and simple to use platform - which enhances the overall user experience.

• To Build the world most secure system via Z systems which helps customers to deploy their application, also provide a platform to deploy Private Cloud, Stand alone systems hosting mission critical application, also to defend againist threats like Cyber Threats, etc and making the enablement experience quicker and easier.

• Architect, Design and Develop Features related to zOS platform Management & simplification related to IBM Z IO Configuration.

• Develop platform management software to enhance user experience

• Modernise User interface for a simplified and unified customer experience."

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.

• Experience with the Software Development life cycle; coding, unit test, function or component test, system test and integration test

• Strong C programming & strong data structure skills.

• Git/Github

• Self driven to learn z/OS, z/VM, System Z, Mainframe

• Assembler programming preferably z/OS based or other architecture based

• PLX/PL1 (good to have) or should be ready to learn.

• Good to have - System z Assembler, z/OS basics, z/VM basics

• Experience with I/O Configuration (IOCP, zArchitecture etc.)

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting

• Good communicaiton skills and should be able to contribute in a global team environment

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• zOS Assembler, PLX, JCL, Rexx, Java, Javascript, Unix system scripting Shell/Python.

• zOS architecture,zVM Basics, System programming, Hybrid Cloud, Network Management and Virtualisation

• Knowledge of PSIRT process"

Established in 1996, the Lab is headquartered in India's Silicon Valley and startup hub - Bengaluru, with a strong presence in Pune and Hyderabad. Developers at ISDL deliver technology innovations across the entire Systems portfolio - z Systems, Power / OpenPOWER Systems and Storage. The team here works across the entire stack from processor design, firmware, operating system to software defined storage. The lab also focuses on innovations, thanks to the creative energies of the teams. The lab has contributed over 400+ patents in cutting edge technologies and inventions so far.

While computing veers towards cognitive, cloud, mobile, social, and security, the lab has significantly contributed to not just new products focused in these areas, but has also ushered in new development models such as Agile, Design Thinking and DevOps.

This job requires you to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated prior to your start date and proof of vaccination status will be required before your start date.
