If so, we are looking for a talented Sr Program Manager to manage critical programs for the Regulatory Intelligence, Safety, and Compliance team. Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will develop strategic solutions to map, analyze, and improve organizational processes. You will work closely with a team of program managers to plan, execute, validate, and deploy complex solutions using the latest technology, new tools, industry best practices, and Amazon's vast cohort of experienced program management professionals. You will work closely with solution design, operational excellence, product innovation, business intelligence and data science/engineering teams to “connect the dots” globally and ensure our team can see and understand their processes, leverage their strengths, and improve their weaknesses. Think of this role as an international multi-tool helping orchestrate our worldwide processes and scale rapidly.

About the team

The Regulatory Intelligence, Safety, and Compliance team's charter is to protect customers from products that are unsafe, illegal, illegally marketed, controversial or otherwise in violation of Amazon's policies while enabling our Selling Partners to offer their broadest selection of safe and compliant products.

The RISC PMO makes work easier for the RISC team, allowing them to maximize their impact on the Amazon customer experience. We do this by creating simple processes that promote quality, efficiency, and scalability; planning and standardizing administrative work; and constantly pursuing strategic improvements.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• 5-7 years of rigorous program/process management experience in a technical environment

• Ability to design and inspect business processes, create improvement plans and deliver results on time

• Experience delivering initiatives from conception through completion

• Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly communicate complex and technical subject matter to a diverse group of stakeholders

• Experience inspecting, displaying, and manipulating data

• Experience preparing reports, identifying findings, and providing recommended remediation strategies and solutions

• Ability to follow directions and work on a team, pay attention to details and work quickly when path is clear

• Understanding of and passion for defined processes and process improvement

• Ability to analyze and interpret complex data from multiple sources and organize data into logical groups to power insightful reports

• Skill and experience at discovering and using new tools to improve quality and/or efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP Certification or equivalent training/certification

• 10-15 years of rigorous program/process management experience in a technical environment

• Six Sigma Black Belt

• Understanding of SQL, MS Basic, or other productivity suite customization techniques

• Experience with customizable online project management tools (Asana, monday.com, etc.)

• Experience working with schedules, including lead time, slack, predecessors, successors, buffer, etc.

• Demonstrated experience setting direction and delivering detail-oriented results in environments with frequently shifting priorities

• Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills

• Experience working in law, compliance, safety, regulatory, or a related field

• Experience working with geographically distributed teams within a complex international organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
