The Social commerce Program leader will be responsible for building and scaling this model in Amazon – The role involves working across function: business development, marketing, sales, tech and product. The leader will drive the experience for customers/ sellers/ resellers, building retention and monetization initiatives and generally helping to define, shape and execute long-term strategic thinking for the business. The successful candidate will have experience working with multiple teams across Amazon, working with technical teams to build innovative, new technology; and driving the growth initiatives around marketing and acquisition. He or she must also have the analytical horsepower to break down complex problems, and a strong will to get stuff done and deliver results no matter the obstacles. Keys to success also include understanding this new business model, the desire to create a unique and compelling customer experience, and a passion for retail.

Key job responsibilities

•Provide leadership for the team and across the company to ensure that the various functions supporting the business have accountability for all important metrics and deliverables for growth

•Drive periodic innovation aimed at improving customer experience and strengthening seller relationships.

•Provide input to defining the customer experience and represent that to senior executives.

•Work cross functionally with central company-wide teams in Technology, Operations and Merchant Services to establish the right processes and optimize them to utilize resources most efficiently.

•Create sustainable process improvements which drive year-over-year progress in the business.

•Identify new approaches for improving customer experience and retention.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
