What’s the role?
As the Software Engineer-Asset Visualization, you will be responsible for the delivery of software, which may include new development, configuration, maintenance and installation of third-party packages, and software integration efforts. It may include tasks from every part of the software development lifecycle, including software and website design, development, programming, and software deployment (both the installation and decommissioning of software). As well as proper working knowledge and experience with Asset Visualization tools like iHawk, Universal Plant Viewer (UPV), Holobuilder and Lobster Vision.
Your role is within the Projects & Engineering (P&E) and Asset Technology portfolio space. Hence, you will be offered an opportunity to work on the development and support of the application in technologies of DOT NET, Restful API, and SQL. It will require you to be a pro-active/independent, strong software engineering skilled individual that learns and is familiar with software development/delivery methods (SDLC, CI/CD).
Key Accountabilities:
Working across P&E and Facilities Visualization portfolio as Software Support Engineer.
Working as an Ops engineer to support applications and troubleshoot issues with users.
Working on larger projects as a support engineer to implement new applications and interfaces.
Working as an Ops engineer to maintain existing applications & interfaces.
Keep technical expertise up to date.
Build a strong working relationship with Product Line Managers (PLMs), Project Managers & Business Users.
Ability to learn domain skills expected in Capital Projects/Assets
Virtual working in a global environment with culturally diverse teams and across many organizational boundaries (within and across IT support and delivery organizations, incl. suppliers)
High degree of application, technology and SaaS landscape complexity and integration
Working as one team with business support teams to ensure seamless development and deployments of changes and maximum added value for the business by proposing continuous improvements in line with the business needs and strategy.
What We Need from you?
Alongside your degree in Engineering Discipline, we hope to see the following in your CV:
- Has 4 years of hands-on experience as a full-stack developer.
Mandatory Skills:
With at least 2 yeas of experience as L3 Support (Coding and support)
Microsoft Azure VM services (provisioning of VM), storage account services
.net coding, understanding of IIS such as Data Hosting & Configuration of IIS
Basic knowledge of ITIL (IT support model)
SQL Query, RDBMS understanding
Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style, both face-to-face and virtually
Good Analytical Skills
Good English communication skills both verbal and written and Proactive Communications
Experience in working in agile/scrum delivery teams/DevOps
Self-starter and able to handle concurrent tasks with appropriate priority.
Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
Working experience with Asset Visualization tools (iHawk, Universal Plant Viwer (UPV), Holobuilder and Lobster Vision), Hexagon S3D, and AVEVA E3D are added advantages.
Experience in user training and user documentation writing will be an added advantage.
