Job Overview

  • Analyzing large datasets related to supply chain operations to identify patterns, trends, and inefficiencies. This could involve inventory levels, transportation costs, lead times, and demand forecasts.

  • Creating and optimizing supply chain network models to ensure efficient operations, distribution and logistics. This could include determining the most effective locations for warehouses, production facilities, and distribution centers as well as assessing mainly the validation process around sourcing or footprint migrations and its dependencies on the overall BU performance.

  • Developing simulation models to forecast the impact of various scenarios on the supply chain. This allows the company to assess the risk and benefits of potential changes, such as opening new facilities or changing suppliers.

  • Working closely with various departments, including procurement, operations, footprint, logistics, and finance, to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain through the application of lean methodologies or other optimization techniques.

  • Leveraging advanced software tools and technologies for modeling and analysis such as SAP, or specialized supply chain management software (Llamasoft…), and maintaining up-to-date knowledge on trends in supply chain technologies.

  • Preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management, to support strategic decision-making.

  • Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of the supply chain and identify areas for improvement.

  • Staying informed about trends and changes in supply chain management, including regulations, market dynamics, and sustainability practices, to provide insights for strategic planning.

What your background should look like:

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply chain / Operations roles / Demand Analyst / Inventory management exposure / Scenario planning and modelling – preferably operational and functional track records

  • Abilities to drive Projects End to End, Experience managing or participating in projects that focus on supply chain optimization, logistics, or process improvement is valuable.

  • Experience in roles that involve significant data analysis, particularly within supply chain contexts, is crucial. This can include working with data visualization tools, statistical analysis software, or custom modeling solutions.

  • Experience in roles that require working closely with different departments (e.g., procurement, sales, finance) enhances understanding of how supply chain decisions impact other areas of the business.

  • Hands-on experience with supply chain modeling software, data analysis tools, and ERP systems is essential for practical application of analytical concepts.
