The Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services team is a globally distributed engineering team aiming to bring the power of the Microsoft Cloud to next-generation foundational capabilities for digital financial markets. We are looking for a new Senior Engineer ing Manager to join us on the journey of delivering the building blocks for digitally transforming financial industry workloads across the world. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

As Senior Engineering Manager on the Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services team, you will participate in the building a team to land cutting-edge technology on industry copilots. You will also contribute to strategic partnerships with the ecosystem for shaping the future of the FSI cloud offerings. Your responsibilities will include –

  • Owning and driving delivery of critical areas and features, Help the team manage projects using agile engineering methodologies and dealing with ambiguity, working closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Stakeholders to define and execute the product roadmap• Provide deep strategical technical expertise and guidance in the design/architecture/planning stage of the project, including guidance during the execution/implementation as necessary• Lead, mentor, and grow team of engineers, cultivate a high-quality engineering culture, emphasizing technical excellence and rapid iteration on complex areas of Generative AI tech. • Identify professional growth areas for each engineer on the team and proactively provide opportunities for increasing their skill set as engineers• Continuously evaluate engineering processes and practices affecting the team with the goal of eliminating in-efficiencies and increasing the overall team effectiveness, drive these improvements both within the team and partners• Drive innovation and take measurable risks to improve our products and services • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and present technical vision and solutions to large audiences. • Rapid agility with Proof of Concepts especially with copilots, fabric and industry solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years people management experience

  • Experience building and leading an engineering team delivering high quality products

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred /Additional Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and growing a team of engineers, cultivate a high-quality engineering culture, emphasizing technical excellence and rapid iteration

  • Experience in building and shipping generative AI led products and services

  • Experience building scalable applications and services with Azure or other scalable cloud platforms with robust performance, resiliency, telemetry, and security.

  • Proven track record on shipping first party products on MSFT platforms

  • Strong design skills and hands on experience with modern software system design, principles, architectural styles, and usage trade-offs.

  • Experience with building services in regulated industries such as FSI, Defense & Security or Public Sector
