Microsoft Research India is inviting applications for researcher positions. A research position at Microsoft Research India offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of Computer Science research and technology development, and work with worldclass colleagues on meaningful research problems.

Our areas of interest are Theoretical Computer Science (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/theme/foundations/) , Machine Learning and AI (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/theme/machine-learning-natural-language-systems-and-applications/) , Systems (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/theme/systems/) , and Technology and Empowerment (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/theme/technology-and-empowerment/) . Projects in the lab are inter-disciplinary and span across these research areas. While we are looking for exceptional candidates in all these areas, we are particularly interested in candidates with a demonstrated track record in AI/ML, including new models and architectures, systems support for such workloads, scientific understanding of large ML models, innovative applications of ML models, and explorations at the intersection of AI/ML and societal issues and concerns.
