Senior P rogram M anager

The Groups team is platform powering durable collaboration experiences that brings together group of people with the resources they need to achieve more powering collaboration experiences in Teams, Outlook and other M365 apps, while also meeting industry-leading security and privacy standards. The groups team is all about building scalable services and related capabilities to support this mission.

We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Product Manager, interested in solving complex problems, and with technical skills to understand and communicate the details of our varied system. You must also be willing to learn and experiment with new ideas.

Build the next generation of collab services for next generation of collaboration experiences. You will collaborate with partner teams within M365 and across the company to build capabilities that are performant, easy to use, and can scale with our needs for more powerful telemetry and insights.

This is a challenging, highly visible role and a fantastic opportunity for the right product manager to solve complex technical and business problems and create strong business impact in the M365 organization and beyond.

Responsibilities

• The ability to go deep on technical challenges, this role is all about understanding and building the right platform and services that collab experiences

• Passion for working with customers to understand their scenarios and business drivers

• Ability to develop product plans and roadmaps, define capabilities and drive project execution

• Ability to build strong relationships and deliver results in cross-group projects

• Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations, with a strong ‘Get it done’ attitude

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• A passion for building and supporting a diverse team that represents the diversity of our users.

Qualifications

• Should have minimum 8+ years of industry experience.

• Experience building services, platforms, data pipelines and the systems needed to support them. Familiarity with building scalable and robust services and platforms is a strong plus.

• A track record of working closely across engineering disciplines to co-ordinate development and deployment of engineering systems.

• Demonstrated experience in the entire software product development cycle

Preferred

• Excellent written communication and presentation skills.

• Strong understanding of services and platform

• Demonstrated leadership skills--proven in creating clarity, generating energy, and delivering success.
