Overview:

The PROJECT MANAGER role includes, but is not limited to the following: project planning and management responsibilities: execute project plan; provide project direction and guidance to team; monitor project funding and financial performance; and ensure team productivity (quality and quantity).

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Interface with Engineering and Program Management Office to ensure overall project/program alignment.

  • Be accountable for timely, accurate, and thorough project communication.

  • Develop and implement creative work processes and innovative work methods to achieve cost and schedule requirements.

  • Be accountable for team members' project-related performance.

  • Maintain and analyze meaningful performance metrics.

  • Discern emergent work and cost modifications occurring which are outside the negotiated project scope.

  • Perform analysis and problem solving during project performance to ensure compliance with customer and company requirements.

  • Keep leadership appropriately informed of significant project developments.

  • Represent the team for customer and internal audits/reviews as required.

  • Be accountable for all project costs.

  • Be accountable for the timeliness and quality of all project deliverables.

  • Report program status to management, business unit, and Customer.

  • Has prime responsibility for schedule, performance, & cost attainment. Takes all possible actions to avoid or minimize problem areas. Anticipates problems and if necessary, revises project plans as permitted by policy and project requirements.

  • Operates according to Company policies.

Working Environment:

  • Position is located in the North Gate, Bangalore, India office

  • Will lead a project-specific technical publications/training team of 2-20 people including technical writers, trainers, illustrators, multimedia, editors, and other support personnel based on workflow from Cedar Rapids PM office

  • Will interface with Publications and Training Program Management, Project Management, and Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven team leadership capability.

  • Strong attention to detail and personal organization.

  • Strong literacy in publication/training specifications and standards

  • Strong literacy in MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • High interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proven professional attitude toward work assignments, toward customer relationships, and toward company/department Lean goals and vision.

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of SAP project/network planning and tracking tools; network/activity development and maintenance; and SAP labor/cost reporting.

  • Enterprise Project Management (EPM) SAP experience.

  • PMP certification or Agile certification

Basic Qualifications:

7 to 10 years of overall experience with at least 1 year in Collins Aerospace.
