Amazon Senior HR Business Partner, India Stores in Bangalore, India

Description

This role partners with senior leaders (internal and external) across Sales, Account Management, Product, Program and Marketing to design and own the end to end talent strategy.

This role offers the incumbent an opportunity to showcase and build muscle both in execution excellence as well as thought leadership, manage an independent charter and take high judgment decisions, pitch for innovative ideas, learn about stores business, deliver value to our Customers, and spin the Amazon flywheel faster.

An ideal candidate would be able to roll up his/her sleeves and dive deep into practical application, get things done through partnership, influence and perseverance, problem solve for customers with limited supervision, and be comfortable dealing with ambiguous, new and challenging situations.

Key job responsibilities

• Partner with leaders on organizational design, workforce planning,and succession planning

• Review and analyze data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience

• Provide management coaching to build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee issues

• Create scalable solutions & practices that will help solve the ongoing people challenges in this fast paced & growing business.

• Work closely with the Talent Acquisition, Rewards, Learning and Operations team to deliver the people agenda.

• Coach leaders to be become great people & organizational leaders

• Lead programs or projects impacting the larger organization independently

• Provide compensation support including salary planning, salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling

• Work with the business leadership to develop strategic interventions, establish new standards and best people practices.

About the team

This role is a part of the HR team that supports one of the business in the India Stores organization (Amazon.in). Our mission: "We build a workplace for Amazonians to invent and deliver on behalf of customers"

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Bangalore, KA, IND

Basic Qualifications

Education: Full-time MBA in HR or allied field of studies

Experience, qualifications and skills required

• 7+ years of experience in HR (HR generalist, OD, talent management, HR consulting) out of which at least 5 years should be in HRBP space. Experience in supporting distributed workforce and external partners is an added advantage

• Experience in partnering with business leaders in highly complex and dynamic business setting in e-commerce, retail, FMCG organizations.

• Proven ability to diagnose problems combining data insights, customer anecdotes and leveraging a mix of strategic thinking, simplified customer backwards approach to drive appropriate solutions

• Experience in collaboration with a global HR team

• Project/Program Management Skills

• Effective communication skills - written, verbal and listening skills (English)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in organization design or large scale transitions.

• Workforce planning experience

• Ability to build scalable systems and processes with a long-term view

• Missionary and not mercenary mindset

• Entrepreneurial and committed to raising the talent bar

• Ability to relate to, influence and coach employees at all levels in the organization. Experience in executive coaching is a plus

• Experience in managing a distributed sales team and external sellers
