Job Summary:

This position will provide design support for product development projects in the field of HVAC and Refrigeration products for Trane Technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Design Engineering projects independently. Collaborate with other design and product engineers to support the projects.

  • Strong focus on sheet metal part design, casting part design. Prepare layouts and concept designs, sketches and detailed drawings as required.

  • Prepare/maintenance of Engineering documentation, bill of material and change notices.

  • Collaborate and communicate with cross functional teams and project partners.

  • Provides design support for current production parts and products.

  • Feasibility study on VAVE projects.

  • Commit to deliver 100% QDC.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

  • 6-9 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.

Key Competencies:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Creo & Sheetmetal design

  • Having Windchill experience will be added advantage

  • Hands on experience in NPD / VAVE / Sustenance projects.

  • Strong knowledge on sheet metal, Casting, Machining design and manufacturing processes.

  • Good knowledge and application of Tolerance stack up and analysis.

  • Good knowledge on Bill of Materials.

  • HVAC/Refrigeration domain experience is preferred.

  • Good Oral and Written communication skills.

  • Must be able to adjust changing demands, priorities and objectives.

  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities of manufacturing and field issues.

  • Coach and develop team members.

  • Project management skills.
