Amazon Risk Specialist, TMT - Variable in Bangalore, India

Description

Amazon’s affiliate program (Amazon Associates) is one of the largest of its kind, with a massive base of affiliates registering and driving users to purchase everything from books to band saws, kayaks to Kindles on Amazon.com. Such a large impactful program opens Amazon to many risks both financial and reputational.

Enforcement reviewers perform reviews and analysis of websites to determine their quality for acceptance into the Associates Program. In addition to monitoring websites for compliance, reviewers will work to identify areas to improve processes, clarify policies and identify emerging trends. When they identify violations or low-quality sites, they will manage communication with the publisher. The Enforcement Reviewer position relies on judgment to accomplish goals and will work under very limited supervision of the manager. Individual problem solving and skills are used to authenticate websites and accounts. Nearly all decisions are expected to be made independently. Productivity and quality assurance will evaluate along with the overall contribution to the development of the team.

Key job responsibilities

• Work across product, tech and partner teams to track progress of projects done by partner teams and ensure that critical check points are met along the process.

• Leadership and driving accountability of strategic initiatives

• Cross functional coordination and task tracking

• Strategic planning and forecasting to appraise performance and problem resolution

• Review and triage open requests from partner teams.

• Provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.

• Communicate with stakeholders and collect data to assist prioritization decision.

• Drive continuous improvement in the intake process to support partner teams.

• Improve documentations to enable faster, efficient knowledge sharing.

• Establish SOPs, process controls, recommend revisions and ensure alignment with risk and regulatory requirements

• Measures key metrics, process or control risk to inform product and program level risk assessment

• Maintains subject matter expertise and current industry knowledge to operationally execute risk management programs

• Deliver business goals for processes handled

• Ideate new initiatives for risk mitigation and partner with product and science team to develop new work streams

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience with Risk/Product/Project/Program Management

• Ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope business requirements manage risks appropriately and effectively. Ability to manage multiple projects/programs

• Ability to juggle multiple projects

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Bachelor’s Degree required

Preferred Qualifications

• Results oriented person with a proven track record of on-time project/program delivery for large, cross-functional projects with global stakeholders

• Experience working and contributing to project playbooks, building schedules, managing issues/risks, establishing communication plans and stakeholder management

• Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP)

• Proficient in advanced usage of Microsoft Excel

• Has SQL skills, is independent of extracting data for analysis
