Optum DataCORE is a cloud-based application for providers who need a risk and quality solution. DataCORE provides a comprehensive set of risk and quality care gaps for users in their preferred workflows, whether that be as standalone tool versus an EMR integrated or EMR embedded experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, development and implement automated tests in an ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development) setting

  • Design, develop, implement, and enhance automation Test Scripts using Cypress Frameworks and Karate DSL

  • Deliver test automation solutions in accordance with enterprise standards and within development and operational guidelines

  • Constantly evaluate and enhance the test automation strategy and approach

  • Mentor and direct other testers in automation and software engineering principles

  • Be responsible for end-to-end testing of the application (Functional, Integration, Regression etc.)

  • Develop in-depth system and application knowledge to provide higher test quality and coverage

  • Collaborate as part of the scrum team in grooming user stories and development of acceptance criteria for the user stories

  • Share and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to staff, business sponsors, managers, and technical resources in clear concise language that is appropriate to the target audience

  • Document and review test results with project team to validate that all business and technical requirements have been met and will be covered with our testing process

  • Validate the quality of the product and confirm completion of assignments to meet beta/release deadlines

  • Ensure compatibility with existing product features and interfaces to other product lines

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in quality engineering

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience on Cypress Framework with Type script / Java script

  • 3+ years of experience design and maintenance of Automation Frameworks

  • 2+ years experience of Web services testing and automation (REST) and Automation using Karate DSL

  • Experience implementing quality engineering practices in a CI / CD pipeline or workflows, version control, test management, and integrating automation frameworks

  • Good working Knowledge of databases and experience to writing SQL queries

  • Understands aspects of agile methodology in terms of product quality and requirements

  • Proven excellent understanding of SDLC and Agile methodology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a CI/CD environment with GitHub Actions for executing automated tests

  • Basic work experience with Azure infrastructure

  • Exposure to healthcare domain
