Eaton Corporation Project Planner in Bangalore, India

What you’ll do:

The supply chain planner position involves many activities and crosses over other roles in the total scope of SC planning. The primary response is to effectively drive the transition projects, like BOM analysis, Part activation, and Product Cost analysis. Coordinate with the sending site SCM team and obtain the relevant documents. The person would also be responsible for effective customer order cutover planning from Eaton's sending sites.

  • Gather transition project information about the project, including its scope, objective, and requirements.

  • Establish milestones and deadlines to keep the project on track.

  • Coordinate with the manufacturing team and arrive at the make-or-buy decision.

  • Coordinate with the sending site to obtain the manufacturing BOM and Analysis

  • Ensure the part details do the part and product setup in the system.

  • Worked on supplier addition/modification in the system. Interact with new suppliers and ensure onboarding as per the Eaton process.

  • Facilitate collaboration meetings with stakeholders and vendors to review purchase forecasts, proposed orders, and other operational issues.

  • Create a production plan to align with the transition project requirement and coordinate with the shop floor production to ensure production is as scheduled.

  • Planner should adapt plans based on changing circumstances or unforeseen challenges.

  • Generate process reports and communicate project status to stakeholders.

  • Working knowledge of ERP, either Oracle or SAP

  • Working with the demand planner and providing relevant data to perform SIOP.

  • Interfaces with product line coordinators on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments.

Qualifications:

  • B.E / B-tech (Mechanical/Electrical & Electronics)

  • 6-8 years as a Production Planner and Material Planner. Experience in direct material procurement is required.

Skills:

Analytical – Gathering data, analyzing data, understanding the meaning of data, and presenting data. Some analytical skills managers look for on a resume are researching, forecasting, data mining, data presentation, resource management, data engineering, database management, data and metrics interpreting, reporting, and diagnostics.

Computer – MS Office, spreadsheets, email, presentation and slideshows, database management, QuickBooks, Power I and enterprise systems

Communication – Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Presentation – Presentation hard skills include visual communication, slideshows, research, data analysis, reporting, and graphic design.
