Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our Teams review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring project management compliance to LeanSpeed processes and verifying process rigor for project governance, documentation, and project health.

• Supports Project Mangers/ core team members:

• Preparation of several reports such as conduct project audits, metric reports or time reporting.

• In the preparation of gate reviews

• In adopting new processes & templates

• By providing training on LeanSpeed methodology and TE Project to new Project Owners

Project Approval Committee (PAC) facilitation and PMO Activities for TS-AUT team:

• Preparation of agenda, perform project desk audits and ensure document readiness.

• Schedule & facilitate weekly PAC meetings and document PAC decisions.

• Ensures PAC and teams are prepared for project review.

• Tracks actions, decisions and metrics.

• Flags portfolio and pipeline issues ahead of time and facilitates that discussion.

• Feedback team members & PAC on potential problems and drive continuous improvements.

• Support managements with project dash boards (financials, milestones, resource)

Desired Candidate Profile

• University Degree: Bachelor of engineering - Mech/Automobile/Industrial Engineering/Tool design. Demonstrated experience in Engineering assignments, eg. automotive components, mechatronics.

• Minimum of 3 years professional experience in Project Management Office , Overall experience 5-7years

• Solid understanding of agile development methodology and the ability to deploy in NPD projects.

• Strong and thorough knowledge of technical tools specific to Project Management (MS Project), as well as knowledge on general engineering tools.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Culturally sensitive.

• Strong ability to set goals and motivate team members.

• Ability to drive projects with external organizations and customers.

• Capable to run multiple projects at the same time.

• Ideal candidate is proactive, resilient, and self-confident.

COMPETENCIES

• Exposure to functioning of various departments and co-ordinate with them.

• Proficiency in advance Excel (Pow Query/VBA) to create dashboards for Sr. Management.

• Good working knowledge on excel and project management tools including MS project.

• Basic Knowledge in Power BI/Tableau is an added advantage.

• Ability to work in a global environment within a multicultural and multi-functional team.

• Strong aptitude for problem solving, Innovative thinker, with an ability to share outside the box ideas and solutions to solve problems and drive improvements into the organization.

• Ability to create and sustain best practices.
