The Principle Specialist Product Marketing: Managed Networks is a global position accountable for developing marketing plans, activities and communications for the Managed Networks offer. The role develops and executes marketing plans that enhance product positioning within the competitive arena, oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Ownership and maintenance of client facing collateral and managing internal and external communications for ongoing promotion of the offer.

This position will be required to work within a matrixed organization and work alongside the product management team, the demand generation team, the internal and external communications team, and support analyst relations where required.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides input and takes ownership in the development, planning and execution of a marketing plan and key messaging that will drive the achievement of NTT’s Managed Networks business objectives.

  • Work in partnership with the Product Management team to provide overall marketing support, and drive marketing and messaging, that promotes Managed Networks across the NTT organization and across the market.

  • Provides input and oversight of all marketing plans in support of the offer across a matrixed organization.

  • Provides input to the development of an annual marketing plan for Managed Network portfolio that details the marketing, promotional and advertising activities for a fiscal year.

  • Responsible for creating, maintaining, and promoting all client facing collateral in support of the Managed Networks offer, e.g. presentation, brochure, web site, and thought leadership. This includes liaising with NTT’s Content Hub creative team to produce the most effective and attractive content possible.

  • Responsible for external communications in support of the offer including creating and managing a calendar of communications and working with writers, the external communications team including the web team and the social media team, to execute the communication calendar. Examples include web site updates, blog posts, press releases, and social posts to LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.

  • Provides critical input and support on internal communications to ensure the offer gets a fair share of voice on internal social platforms (Yammer), amplify messages for maximum coverage, and work closely with internal communications on a regular newsletter.

  • Work with the sales enablement team to ensure NTT has all the documentation, messaging, and content for successful sales. This includes ensuring the sales portal is up to date, the new sales enablement platform (Highspot) correctly supports Managed Networks, and any other supporting material is available, e.g., buyer action plan, competitive information etc.

  • Works closely with the demand generation team, and the VP Service Offer Management, where required, to create messaging, campaigns, and marketing activities in support of the offer. Also measures and reports on implementation, measurement, and review of successful campaigns. This may include the use of Account Based Marketing (ABM) tools for targeted campaigns and the creation of nurture journeys specific to the offer.

  • Provides recommendations and advice on the development and implementation of go-to-market plans to be used to target existing and potential markets and clients.

  • Use the intelligence and information gathered from market research to inform marketing activities, develop marketing models and to identify the market requirements for current and future products and services.

  • Support NTT Analyst Relations (AR) where needed to promote the offer into the analyst community and support analyst reports as needed, e.g., the NTT response to Gartner Magic Quadrants or IDC MarketScape reports.

  • Partner cross-functionally with relevant leadership to create a consistent and exciting experience for NTT customers.

Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of marketing and product marketing best practices across inbound and outbound channels to engage customers

  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of marketing, digital marketing and data-driven decision making

  • Technical expertise (for interlock with Product Management) and product and service knowledge across NTTs Managed Network service line

  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs

  • Good communicator with an ability to assimilate lots of detail from across the organization

  • Energetic, flexible, and proactive.

  • Very good written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, and staff

  • Collaborative and agile style with enterprise-level problem solving abilities

  • Strategic thinking and tactical implementation

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication or relevant field.

Required Experience:

  • Experience in Product Marketing in the IT field with an approach that emphasises success of an offer within a broad portfolio of services

  • Demonstrated record of success in developing, implementing, evaluating and iterating strategies and solutions.

  • Demonstrated experience in Product Marketing either as part of an organisation or with an agency

  • Experience working and executing within a matrixed organization

  • Experience in marketing and/or advertising, and working independently as well as within cross-functional teams, in a professional environment of high accountability
