The rapid growth of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Power BI), is fueled by organizations across the globe investing in leveraging low-code/no-code development models to accelerate their digital transformation ambitions. Power Platform is a strategic new growth area for Microsoft, but more importantly, it is a disruptor technology that is giving “Citizen access” to broader set of users in an enterprise, to create next generation of business productivity software via radically simplified experience and without requiring extensive and costly training. It is transforming careers of ‘citizen developers’, making pro-developers far more productive and helping IT finally innovate at the pace that their businesses expect. To boost Power Platform to scale to hundreds of millions of users, we are investing in Power Pages– a product within Power Platform suite currently used by customers to enable collaboration with users both internal and external to their organizations. We are early in our journey to innovate on Power Pages product and shape it into a thriving standalone customer-facing business to drive incremental revenue and value for Power Platform. We are innovating and iterating at a very rapid pace. To further accelerate the momentum in this space – bringing AI powered experiences to the business application space changing how people work - we continue to grow our investments of generative AI capabilities and multi-modal AI rich experiences. Our goal is to shape Power Pages to be the #1 enterprise platform for creating and hosting business websites to drive usage to 1 billion users and incremental revenue and value for Power Platform. 

The Team

We collaborate closely with many different teams and pursue creative solutions to help make them successful. We embrace modern tooling and approaches, and we’re optimizing our engineering for building cloud first web applications with a faster cadence of releases to deliver innovation at an exciting pace. Our responsibilities span across multiple key areas, including building core libraries, common components, AI innovation, hyperscale services and systems that support thousands of requests per second for hundreds of thousands of applications hosted worldwide, and engineering infrastructure to develop, build, and deploy applications. Our team works in an agile start-up like environment where we expect each team member to think out of the box to contribute and collaborate towards the mission of the team in a feature-crew setting. 

The Candidate

As a team, we are very customer focused and driven by passion, creativity, teamwork, agility, accountability, and desire to learn every day. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our team that is responsible for the WYSWIG maker platform which powers experiences for low and no-code makers. We are reimagining the maker stack to create AI centric authoring experiences enabling hundreds of thousands of makers access to AI and technology to create business centric, rich AI experiences for their users.

• Mentoring and managing a team of passionate and talented engineers

• Working with product management and design to formulate specifications for features.

• Innovate and Lead strategy for product vision working closely with Product & Design.

• Working with partner teams that use frameworks to integrate components.

• Driving improvements to our software engineering processes

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

• 13+ years of experience in software development.

• 10+ years of solid experience in building Applications, distributed services that support massive scale, and Frameworks.

• 5+ years of experience building web applications.

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent or 15+ years of industry experience

• 5+ years people management experience leading talented and fast paced engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building on React applications and libraries.

• Great written and oral presentation skills.

• Experience building C# applications on Azure.

• Experience with AI and ML models.
