Overview:

We are seeking a PMO with experience in project Management.

Job Title:

Principal Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Independently manages medium to large projects, with minimal or no guidance.

  • Responsible for developing the project plan, project schedule, resource plan and project budget with the project team.

  • Budget Ownership and management (US$3M a year)

  • Responsible for tracking recurring and non-recurring costs, including product and project cost.

  • Responsible for ensuring scope change is identified, documented, and communicated to the project stakeholders.

  • Performing critical path analysis and utilizing Earned Value Management

  • Tracking and monitoring project milestones

  • Responsible for tracking engineering metrics like On-time delivery, Quality, etc.

  • Deploying Project Management methods and procedures to ensure adherence to lay down PM practice(s).

  • Coordinating with supply chain for service & material procurement.

  • Leading project reviews with stakeholders and managing stakeholders.

  • Overlap with time zones – India / USA / Other Countries – to coordinate with counterparts.

  • Identifying Risk triggers and applying Risk Management practices to mitigate/avoid project Risks.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BE / B-Tech / ME / M-Tech or equivalent degree with experience in NPD projects (mainly Software and knowledge of Electronics)

  • 12 to 16 years overall experience with at least 4 to 5 years of project management experience.

  • Experience with Aerospace (DO178) design standards and techniques

  • Experience in any other safety critical domains like Automotive / Healthcare, can be considered

  • Hands-on experience in software and hardware product development life cycle

  • Should have hands-on experience on proposal preparation and submission.

  • Should be well versed with hands on key project management areas like Risk Management, Procurement, Scope, Change & Stakeholder management.

  • Responsible for Earned value metrics to program office and other stakeholders.

  • Should have experience working with cross functional teams and disciplines.

  • Proficient in MS Project Professional or Similar tools including resource loading and critical path analysis.

  • Knowledge on any product life cycle management tools

This will be an individual contributor role to influence project team to achieve project goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Aerospace design techniques, procedures, and standards

  • Good analytical skills

  • Project Management Certifications (PMI-PMP)

  • Experience in DOORS, Synergy CM, Synergy Change, Polarion

  • Knowledge of DO254 is a plus.
