Esko is transitioning to a data-driven organisation. We are building a data lakehouse using the Microsoft Fabric technology. The Power BI developer assists business to make the most of the data in the data lakehouse by building efficient and performant reports in Power BI.

Main responsibilities and key activities:

• You spend time with business to understand their reporting requirements.

• You work with your colleagues in the BI team (business analysts & data engineers) to identify where the necessary data is stored: is the data already available in the data lakehouse or not? If not, where can it be sourced? Which transformations are needed before it can be used in a report?

• You gather business requirements to determine what measures, visuals, trends, etc. business users want to see in the various Power BI reports.

• You design and create Power BI reports which fulfil business requirements.

• You are the custodian of the company Power BI template.

• You work with business to facilitate User Acceptance Testing.

• You troubleshoot questions/problems from the user community, searching for the root cause and designing long-term solution(s).

• You assist in the management of the Power BI environment: security, user access, gateways, apps, etc.
