We produce an outstanding collection of over 200 brands – old and new, large and small, global and local – that are enjoyed in more than 180 countries around the world.

We are both a distributed team bringing together coordinated decision- making for Diageo, as well as a local team supporting markets to be daring and relevant to their consumers.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Be a great business partner to the Analytics & Insights Leadership team and their direct reports, customers of the Global Digital Team and Marketing colleagues - through building great relationships, supporting and challenging with skill & holding leaders to account for full delivery. Willingness and integrity is a requirement.

  • Influencing skills are critical as this role work with existing teams and external resources and be able to influence at all levels of the business from Analysts to CMO.

  • Ability to generate ideas, driving decisions through sophisticated analysis, often requiring creativity to find a solution around a business issue; ability to think in the future and anticipate trends and opportunities and position against this to deliver future value.

  • Manage and educate the Data/Analytics/Insights team from a functional perspective and demonstrate outstanding leadership around the Diageo values and behaviours.

Purpose of Role

  • Handle the DA&I team responsible for supporting the marketing efficiency predictive & prescriptive products (Sensor & BDM).

  • Build and evolve a self-service ecosystem which enables the democratisation of analytics.

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap.

  • Implement and evolve outstanding approach to reporting & data enablement through a robust and consistent improvement process.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities

  • Partner closely with key stakeholders to understand business challenges and develop appropriate data analytics, models, reporting and visualization solutions to address them.

  • Own an analytics product feature and release roadmap based on business strategies, in-depth data analysis, and a clear understanding of business and end user needs.

  • Drive value-based prioritization by assessing the benefits of different data product solutions and the trade-offs between customer needs, technology requirements and costs.

  • Collaborate with technical partners that help facilitate strategic goals and drive business plans, road maps, and requirements.

  • Drive utilisation and adoption of analytics products within specific functions and effectively communicate value drops to customers and potential users.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • 12+ experience in Data/Analytics.

  • Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, economics, statistics, engineering or equivalent

  • confirmed experience in enterprise data analytics, reporting, and data products within a CPG.

  • 2+ years of complex leadership experience in leading cross-functional, highly analytical, and technical teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within sophisticated contexts.

  • Experience with analytic techniques, such as factor analysis, predictive modelling, logistic regression, cluster analysis, segmentation, attitudinal/motivational analysis, concept/copy testing, sales forecasting, response prediction, advertising efficiency, consumer profiling, marketing mix and ROI measurement

  • 2+ years of relevant product or program management experience in B2B wholesale distribution, e-commerce, finance, retail, operations, and/or business management/collaborating with a confirmed history of delivering results.
