Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Digital Experience teams set digital product, feature and user experience strategies, prioritizing capabilities and delivery to drive ROI, focusing on customer research, online features/services, and user experience, including content strategy, interaction and visual design, contributing significantly to the overarching digital strategy as well as multi-channel Brand experience strategy. They direct and define an engaging and valuable experience for TE’s customers, collaborating with key partners (business, technology, marketing, etc.) to ensure that the integrity of the user experience is maintained during development through launch and appropriate plans and processes are in place to maintain and scale those experiences as appropriate. They partner with team members to define, track and test capabilities in an agile development life cycle and perform industry research as necessary to support feature definition and development. The team members have experience with responsive design, designing large scale websites, working with 3rd party agencies, agile practices including working with a product owner framework or similar function, creating/maintaining a Product/Feature backlog to prioritize capabilities for implementation, and the ability to define and clearly communicate detailed business requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead and enable a team of Digital Experience Specialists by creating a solid operating framework, build bridges with other functions and stakeholders and actively coach and develop the team members.

Build the digital roadmap to deliver relevant digital experiences for targeted customers.

• Partner with Omni-channel manager and VoC manager in marketing to investigate, select, and build high-ROI digital tools / platforms that enhance customer satisfaction and drive growth.

• Identify and manage 3rd party relationships needed to create competitive differentiation.

• Align with the segment and corporate teams on existing digital tools and solutions; adapting them to Industrial to improve product findability and discoverability on TE.com and distributor pages.

• Determine the best course of action to meet schedules and resolve challenges around delivery of product information to customers across different channels, 3rd party Master Data Management (MDM) platforms and 3D CAD libraries.

• Determine a holistic approach to improve integration of TE’s online product data with business processes, product information management roadmap, and emerging technologies.

• Enhance digital product data quality on TE.com for top sales part numbers (mapped to Active Portfolio Management)

• Work with the TE channel enablement team to ensure TE products are consistently and accurately represented on distributor websites and across the digital ecosystem.

• Follow existing tracking mechanisms and drive a regular report-out cadence with the different stakeholders and management to review progress and drive improvements based on the business requirements.

• Drive standardization and provide governance of digital information delivery in the business.

• Utilize data analytics tools and data warehouse to identify key metrics and develop actionable recommendations for commercial and engineering teams based on the insights.

• Partner with 3rd parties for data analytics on product usage and engagement through the buyer journey. E.g. track BOM downloads from existing Product Selectors.

Education / Qualification:

• BE/ BTech (Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics / Industrial Engineering) with minimum 15+ of work experience.

• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in product information management, digital products / digital experience or related leadership roles.

• Experience with Project/ Program Management.

• Have a deep understanding of system dependencies, data sources, granularity, availability, and limitations.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information to ensure successful implementations.

• Excellent interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions (internal and external).

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to broadcast critical information appropriately at all levels internally and externally.

Experience / Competencies:

Industrial B2B product and market knowledge.

Project Management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including MS Office).

• Results driven.

• Knowledge of tools like Adobe Analytics and/ or Tableau to develop insight and recommendations to manage digital product data across the Industrial BU portfolio.

• Continuous Improvement mindset.

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills for internal partners with whom no direct reporting relationship exists.

• Prior experience working in a matrix organization with collaborative relationships across global teams such as (product management, engineering team, marketing, central IT)

• Prior experiencing creating digital strategy and roadmap.

• Demonstrated experience/ knowledge of digital self-serve tools, like product selectors, configurators, 3D interactive customer engagement platforms

• Experience with identifying and maintaining product facets, including but not limited to customer view models, drawings, product compatibility, product data sheets, etc.

• Experience in managing large product content transformation and migration projects, including M&A parts integration.

• Hands on experience working with 3rd party agencies on implementing device agnostic responsive design digital commerce solutions

• Know-how of 3rd party design automation platforms (EPLAN, ZUKEN, etc.) and master data management tools used to gather product data as per global taxonomy standards like ETIM, UNSPSC, etc.

• Experience with product data/ information management tools (Ex: SAP Hybris, Windchill, etc.)

• Exposure to product design / management & supply chain processes will be a plus.

• Knowledge of central part/ master data/ product lifecycle management tools.
