Position Title

Engineering Manager – Systems and Software

Overview:

BE/BTech/ME/MTech (Electronics/Electrical) with more than 12 + years of overall experience’ in the Aerospace Systems Engineering, Software Engineering (DAL A to DAL D Software Dev and V&V), and 5+ years in program and people management

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple programs with in schedule, cost and predictability in overall performance.

  • Lead a team of Engineers and subject matter experts working on Systems Engineering, Software Design and Software Verification and technology development for Sensor’s products in Avionics.

  • Coordination with the multi-disciplinary team involving electrical, mechanical and software engineers to ensure smooth execution.

  • Create and maintain relationship with Global stakeholders and work closely with them on product and technology roadmap, resource forecast, budgeting, execution, and delivery.

  • Expand Capabilities by competency development and making hiring decision based on customer requirements, changing technology trends and Innovative solutions.

  • Guide teams to support advanced automations, process and standard work improvements throughout the product development Life Cycle.

  • Strong in Risk Assessment, Scope Management and tracking at program and portfolio level.

  • Lead organizational initiatives and coordinate with multiple departments, leaders and experts to drive best practices.

  • Lead and Inspire the engineers to build a highly inclusive, engaged and motivated team.

  • Must have strong systems thinking ability to visualize big picture, analyze, assess and collaborate to seamlessly execute programs where interdependent muti disciplinary team are involved in a product development life cycle.

  • Drive for continuous growth for the self and the associated team members. Coaching and mentoring to develop successors.

Basic Qualification:

  • Bachelor's/master’s degree in Electronics Engineering with strong problem solving and analytical capability.

  • 12+ years of Industry experience in New Product Development, redesign, R & D and people management

  • Strong Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (Design and Verification) for DAL A/B software as per DO-178 guidelines.

  • Hands on experience in end-to-end systems engineering activities as per ARP 4754 guidelines.

  • Ability to perform / lead design reviews, non-advocate reviews and project reviews.

Skill Set

  • Systems and Software Engineering of Aerospace products (DAL A to D), with more than 5 years of experience in program and people management.
