Position Title: Engineering Manager (Hybrid) Overview:

The technology (AT) Team is working to enable future-readiness of Avionics through development of high quality, trusted solutions using a common framework, strong product line behaviors and a robust digital development environment to accelerate technology advancements and capability deployment. We are focused on leveraging core products and technologies to develop differentiated aircraft capabilities enabling autonomous operations while driving efficiencies, best practices and consistent processes across Avionics. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is ready to perform the role of an Engineering Manager for ASA / AT team.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Facilitate development & deployment of a product line framework to enable more rapid innovation and implementation of capabilities and solutions.

• Facilitate transition of technology development to product lines.

• Facilitate implementation of middleware software elements - platform & hardware agnostic services & libraries, enabling functional software reuse & faster development.

• Facilitate development and deployment of DevOps pipelines in Avionics applications development.

• Work with the Avionics teams on the tools & processes they should use to develop & deploy new content.

• Facilitate development of a high-fidelity virtual integration and verification environment, possibly in cloud infrastructure, for faster test development, and parallel, faster-than-real-time execution. Evaluate possible virtual environments and their ability to meet the requirements.

• Actively participate in a global team environment, working with verification, architecture, applications, and design teams.

• Drive development activities, provide technical support, and proactively manage tasks to meet schedule goals.

• Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and execute strategies. Have intensive and diversified knowledge of standards/procedures to meet customer requirements, project schedule and costs.

• Acts as consultant and trusted adviser to internal senior management and/or business partners on the implementation or operationalization of compliance programs. Establishes and oversees training and audit / assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls.

• Drive building of robust competencies around the functional areas and implement standard processes across the organization.

• Designing & implementing systems, policies & procedures to facilitate continuous process improvements to ensure we implement best practices across the organization.

• Drive organizational development initiatives: Talent Management; Performance Management; Change Management.

  Job Responsibilities:

• Interfaces with US based POCs / SMEs for status & validate approach / design

• Drive individual contributing technical talent and is responsible for a team of engineers.

• Responsible for tactical execution of day-to-day operations.

• Assigns technical resources to work assignments (workforce allocation).

• Responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling responsibilities for groups of engineers.

• Responsible for the development and technical coaching of staff.

• Will spend 50% of the week performing technical tasks. Remaining time spent managing people, schedules and/or budgets.

• Responsible for conducting annual reviews, Performance discussion and regular one on one with team.

• Responsible for on-boarding and assimilation of new hires.

  Skill Set:

• Comprehensive experience in all phases of product development life cycle, including project management, lab infrastructure management, risk management and stake holder management.

• Strong Project Management skills. Ability to work and meet stringent project deadlines.

• Strong sense of personal responsibility in accomplishing the organization's goals within the deadline

• Expertise in simultaneously managing multiple teams and projects.

• Good understanding of Avionics certification standards or process, such as DO178B/C, MISRA C
