Overview:

In this role the Lead Engineer will actively participate in the development of Nacelle products.

Position: Lead Engineer (P2)- Mechanical Structural Design

Primary responsibilities:

• Product design / NPI demonstrated, developing product level concept design and architecture based on product requirements.

• Ability to Lead the design activities for sustenance, NPI, value engineering and ability to resolve design issues. Presenting in Design reviews and work with customer.

Skill Sets:

• Experience in Mechanical structures Design and Development

• Should have good Catia V5 experience.

• Good Knowledge in design principles.

• Should have fair knowledge on material & Fastener selection.

• Should have good experience in performing multiple trade studies.

• Good in GD&T and MBD creation.

• Should have knowledge of Teamcenter (PLM)

• Good Knowledge on performing stack ups, ICD creation and weight assessment.

• It will be added advantage if they have experience on Nacelle product design.

• Composite design would be a plus.

• Very good communications skills.

Basic Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of relevant Industry experience.

• BE / B-Tech / ME / M-Tech Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

*Position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
