IBM Japan Payroll Manager in Bangalore, India

Your Role and Responsibilities

A Japan Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing. This role requires a deep understanding of Japan's complex labor laws, tax regulations, and social insurance systems and fluency in Japanies Language.

  • Ensuring compliance with Japan's labor laws, including minimum wage, overtime regulations, and working hours.

  • Managing the calculation and payment of income taxes, withholding taxes, and social security contributions.

  • Ensuring accurate enrollment, payment, and reporting for social insurance programs like health insurance, pension, and unemployment insurance.

  • Overseeing the year-end tax adjustment process, including the calculation of bonuses and the submission of necessary tax forms.

  • Accurately calculating employee salaries, including base pay, allowances, bonuses, and deductions.

  • Managing the payroll system, including updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Ensuring the confidentiality and security of employee payroll data.

  • Leading and managing a team of payroll professionals.

Who you are:

Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing for IBM employees operating in Japan. Payroll Managers duties include ensuring compliance with Japan's complex labor laws, tax regulations, and social insurance systems. Also calculate income taxes, withholding taxes, social security contributions, and year-end tax adjustments. Additionally. The payroll Manager is skilled in managing payroll systems, generating reports, and providing support to employees regarding payroll-related matters.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Fluency in Japanese is essential for a Japan Payroll Manager.

  • Deep understanding of Japanese labour laws and knowledge of minimum wage, overtime regulations, working hours, and other employment laws. Familiarity with income tax, withholding tax, social security contributions, and year-end tax adjustments.

  • Experience in using payroll systems specific to Japan.

  • Ability to analyze complex payroll data, identify errors, and implement solutions.

  • Efficiently managing payroll processes and meeting deadlines.

  • Effectively communicating with employees, management, and external agencies.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of Japan HR accounting.

  • Strong understanding of auditing and risk management
