The IT Quality Assurance Analyst A (IN), II role is to develop and execute regression and functional tests. This position will primarily work on creating Test Plans, designing and developing test scripts and scenarios, monitoring and analyzing results, and reporting defects. In addition, this role will work on test automation, creation of test data, and other testing artifacts depending on the nature of the project or operational work.

Job Description:

  • Execute testing activities to ensure that business systems meet business requirements and system goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.

  • Create Test Plans, Test Cases, and perform system, regression, and functional testing using OpenText’s Quality Center.

  • Design, develop, and implement automated and manual regression and functional test scripts using TOSCA and Unix shell scripts to validate application functionality.

  • Analyze formal test results to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.

  • Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to the project test lead.

  • Make recommendations for the improvement of applications to Business Systems Analysts and Developers.

  • Participate in all phases of the QA lifecycle for maintaining the quality of application releases.

  • Lead project tasks with the direction of Project Management.

  • Maintain test automation infrastructure, code, and procedures to assist others in creating reusable automation components.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.

  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.

  • Act as a key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.

  • Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as manage outside contract testers.

  • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures (manual and automated).

Qualifications:

  • 4 years B.Tech./B.E degree in Computer Science, IT, or any related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in independently managing functional and regression testing.

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in creating Test Plans, designing and developing scripts and scenarios, monitoring, analyzing results, and reporting defects.

  • 1+ years of hands-on testing experience on Oracle EBS/Oracle ERP, Siebel, and SOAPUI.

  • Experience with Siebel and Oracle ERP applications.

  • Supply Chain & Finance domain experience is highly desirable.

  • Ability to participate in all meetings, provide estimations, planning, and design sessions.

  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, SiteScope, and PerfMon is required.

  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot Load Generators.

  • Extensive experience in developing automated test scripts using TOSCA.

  • Knowledge of Test Automation frameworks built on OpenText QC/ALM.

  • Knowledge of OpenText QC/ALM customization and workflow enhancements.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Good listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Keen attention to detail.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
