Nutanix Financial Analyst - 2 [ 3-4 years experience ] in Bangalore, India

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join us as a Financial Analyst within the Sales Finance organization focused on supporting the annual planning cycle, consolidating quarterly forecasts, reviewing monthly estimates, improving standard processes, and creating and maintaining standard reports. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, highly analytical, and a positive agent for change.

As a member of the GTM Finance team, success in this role will require developing effective business partnerships across the Sales Finance and Corporate Finance teams.

The Sales Finance team within Nutanix is a high-energy team providing finance partnership to business leaders across all functions of the Sales Organization. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-impact team in a rapidly growing organization

Your Role

  • Maintain the Sales Finance operating calendar

  • Support the short-term and long-term financial planning and forecasting efforts across the Sales organization by coordinating inputs and standard assumptions across multiple groups

  • Prepare variance analyses to identify and explain significant variances to budget and forecasts

  • Partner with the Corporate FP&A team to create and deliver budget and forecast narratives

  • Develop standard monthly management reporting packages and analysis

  • Maintain and improve financial models/reports that track and analyze functional costs and their impact on the company’s overall performance

  • Prepare sales productivity analyses and provide actionable recommendations to executive management

  • Identify risks and opportunities that drive financial results and effectively communicate to Sales and Finance Leadership

  • Drive reporting, forecasting, and related process improvements, including developing and maintaining automated dashboards

  • Provide ad hoc analyses on financial results, key business trends, and current and future business risks and opportunities

What You Will Bring

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in an FP&A, Sales Operations, or Sales Strategy role, including of financial planning experience in a large public company environment

  • Exceptional financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced FP&A Technical skills including Excel, financial planning software (Adaptive, Hyperion, etc.), CRM (Salesforce), and analytics software (Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, KNIME, etc.)

  • Results-orientated with bias for action and healthy impatience for change

  • Willingness to ask tough questions and challenge the status quo

  • Self-motivated, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and maturity under pressure

  • Anticipates and resolves problems before they develop

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent required; MBA, CPA, or other related advanced credential preferred
