About this Role

Responsible for Global Finance Master Data quality support global data quality team by coordinating with various customers and ensuring delivery per business needs for master data quality management.

Interact with key functional customers to understand requirements, identify data sources, work with end-users and our leadership team, to deliver objectives. Work with technology partners in the preparation of data, dashboards, and qualitative analysis to summarize and present key risks in a succinct manner. Able to perform data analysis using technical tools e.g., Data Warehouse, SQL, PowerBI, Master Data Tools, etc.

Provide relevant training for standard methodologies and tools to new team members. Strong people management skills and experience handling small teams.

This role will also handle MDM Operations teams and will be responsible for their performance in terms of accuracy and cleansing.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for end-to-end finance master data quality for all Finance Domains (Profit Center, Cost Center and GL Account).

Collaborate with various customers, requestors, and senior team members to support in delivering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Responsible for data cleansing, normalization and standardization of existing finance master data ensuring high quality of data at all times.

Specialize in KPI development, creating a robust framework that encompasses all aspects of your business.

The primary responsibilities of the role, such as maintaining accurate financial records, managing master data processes, and ensuring data integrity.

Identify Core KPIs: Determine which key metrics align with the objectives of the finance master data role.

Highlight the expectation for ongoing improvement in performance and suggest methods for achieving this, such as regular training, process optimization, or staying updated on industry best practices.

Identify and rectify data discrepancies, duplicates, and inconsistencies.

Implement data cleansing best practices to enhance data quality and integrity.

Work with the key stakeholders to understand the required changes in finance master data quality rules and ensure change requests are delivered on time.

Knowledge on all finance master fields and validation.

Creating / Maintaining Data Dictionary for all the fields for all finance modules (Cost Center, Profit Center, Internal order and Cost of Accounting (GL Account).

Knowledge on Cost Center, Profit Center Hierarchy.

Ability to adhere to data governance rules.

Owner of Data Quality SOP’s, DTP and checklists for master data quality.

Takes direct ownership of objectives with high levels of self-assurance to achieve goals.

Bringing powerful analysis to issues and rapidly absorbing new information and knowledge to apply new techniques, technology, and procedures.

Best Practices, ideas to be implemented.

Accountable for adherence to internal controls.

Stakeholder Management and key interfaces:

Reports into Global Master Data Quality Lead.

Head of all regions, procurement leads, and finance controllers.

Factory heads, supply chain team leads.

Third party service providers.

Auditors (Internal and External Audits).

Skills and Experience

A qualified Finance Master Data specialist including Data Governance.

Should have worked specially for FMCG/CPG products.

Minimum 8+ years’ experience preferably in FMCG industry.

Operational knowledge of SAP S4 HANA.

Extensive experience in SAP MDG for Finance Master.

Working knowledge of Data Quality and Rules.

Strong Process and business insights.

Professional Qualification / Experience

Master’s degree or equivalent qualification with 8+ years of Finance Master data experience in equivalent organization at least one other global organization with similar industry.

Strong Working knowledge in SAP MDG.

Working experience in business operations.

Experience of leading major projects.

Working knowledge in running data cleansing projects.
