Job Description:

• Performing activities of a limited scope, based on principles and techniques commonly employed in electrical engineering design.

• Getting familiarized with project management techniques and CDM Smith management system to broaden the understanding of multi discipline design concepts in preparation of advancement to the next level.

• Preparation of Electrical one-line drawings, Site and building plan drawings to show the Electrical equipment layout.

• Review and checking of design calculations and drawings and to ensure technical

correctness and conformance to project requirements.

• Assisting in specific assignments and review of 3-D model developed in AutoCAD, Revit etc.

• Coordination with other disciplines at different stages to identify the problems with the Design progress.

• Assist senior staff in the selection and specification of various electrical system components including motor control centers, switchgear, transformers, etc.

• Supervise or coordinating the work of CADD Operators, technicians and others

• Ability to manage discipline requirements of a project independently

• Review Scope of Work from Preliminary Design Report and Estimate the man-hours required to complete the task.

• Able to perform independently on all assignments with minimum technical/ administrative instructions.

• Reporting to Discipline Lead and responsible for guiding and supervising a group of engineers / designers

• Function as Project Lead for a Project / multiple projects, and fully responsible for all electrical design activities / deliverables for the project(s).

• Able to devise new approaches to problems encountered and coordinates various technical aspect of work.

• Able to plan, investigate, conduct work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques procedures and criteria.

• Able to participate to a limited degree in new business development in establishing and monitoring budgets to assess profitability.

• Able to get updated the ongoing changes in the field of Electrical engineering.

• Able to perform project management function small and moderate sized projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

Skills and Experience Requirement.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is essential.

• 12+ minimum years of experience in conceptual design, engineering, construction and commissioning of electrical power system in continuous process industries from International regions (US).

• Experience with Medium Voltage systems design (4.16KV to 69KV) and Developing the Protective relay schemes for Electrical Distribution systems.

• Experience with Paralleling the Generators and Diesel Rotary UPS Systems.

• Experience with Performing Load Flow, Short circuit, Protective Device coordination, System Dynamic Stability (Transient stability), Motor Starting, and Arc flash studies using Power Systems Analysis software (preferably SKM).

• Experience in Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Design and Engineering works for Water & Waste Water Treatment works and industrial projects.

• Experience in managing work-share with offices in multiple locations is preferred.

• Experienced in managing tasks on large projects or manage phases of small projects.

• Familiarity with international standards like NEC, NFPA, BS, IEEE, IEC and standard industry practices.

• Good communication, inter-personal and leadership skills, with ability to lead a team, and interact with client / PMC personnel.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Proficiency with SKM Power Tools or other electrical system analysis software is

Preferred

• Development of design criteria, specifications and standards.

• Working knowledge of National Electrical Code is preferable.
