Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Director to build and lead our engineering team in India. We welcome entrepreneurs and individuals from established companies who share our vision. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing our engineering strategy, building and managing a high-performing team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our engineering presence in India. You will be responsible for establishing a strategy to hire and build founding engineering teams, partnering with regional leadership to create a vision for engineering teams in India, developing strategic roadmaps, and ensuring the highest level of technical execution quality.

Required Skills:

Director, Engineering Responsibilities:

1. Lead, drive and execute on our strategy for delivering enterprise systems

2. Identify new opportunities for the larger organization and influence the appropriate people for staffing/prioritizing these new ideas

3. Lead long term technical vision and roadmap for large enterprise-wide efforts

4. Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organizational level

5. Lead teams that deliver on multiple projects of increasing dependencies in an ambiguous or high-impact area.

6. Work effectively with cross functional partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomes.

7. Measure the impact of team and set clear expectations and goals.

8. Hire, build and manage engineering teams that deliver on multiple projects of increasing dependencies

Minimum Qualifications:

9. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, followed by ten+ years of progressive, post baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation

10. Be a subject matter expert in at least one specific domain (examples: recruiting, people, finance, supply chain).

11. Experience building large scale enterprise software systems from the ground up

12. Experience as a great collaborator, experience building models & processes for aligning work across large teams, experience building the relationships needed to cut through obstacles and quickly resolve problems.

13. Requires ten years of experience in the following:

14. 1. Coding in one of the following languages: C++, C#, Java, Javascript, Python, or PHP
15. 2. Management experience with technical teams, and as a technical lead
16. 3. Designing and developing distributed systems
17. 4. Building enterprise systems across Finance, Supply Chain or HR
18. 5. Defining and managing software projects, and making data-driven decisions
