Are you interested in making Alexa, Alexa? Amazon is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, organized, detail-oriented Content Program Manager to help shape Alexa in India. This includes managing campaigns and creating content to help Alexa delight and inspire customers, let its personality shine, tell jokes, make sports predictions, sing songs, tell stories, interact with celebrities, and more.

Key job responsibilities

The candidate will be developing delightful, engaging and ingenious content that delights customers. They will have an ear for what customers will enjoy, with a deep knowledge of Indian culture, social trends, news, current events, sports and entertainment—including pop culture, music and TV, technology, fashion, lifestyle, books, etc. They will work on inputs to train Alexa's models on tonality, cultural nuances, sensitive topics etc which are specific to India. The ideal candidate will create and manage content workflow, editorial process, and scheduling, while working cross-functionally with our product managers, marketing managers, user interface designers and engineering teams. The individual will create, edit, and provide QA for the content developed by the Devices team. He/she will be responsible of managing content and production agencies that help create the editorial work. He/she will be responsible for tracking the business metrics, getting insights on overall performance, identifying opportunities, and providing detailed reporting and documentation on a regular basis.

Besides having first-class written and verbal communication skills, the Content Program Manager will be detail oriented, extremely organized, and able to juggle and prioritize multiple projects in order to meet aggressive deadlines. With a healthy appetite for new technologies, the ideal candidate will be innovative, internally motivated, self-directed, and willing to help execute top-notch content to achieve business objectives.

About the team

The Alexa India team’s mission is to deliver products and services with a delightful and locally relevant for Indian customers. We work on everything from product launches (like launching new Echo devices), to new skill partnerships (like working with external partners to make their services available through Alexa), to more consumer-focused campaigns. The Alexa India team is an essential part of helping customers feel that Alexa is a trusted companion in their daily life. On the team, the Content Program Manager contributes in making Alexa's Personality truly Indian.

Basic Qualifications

• Proficiency in both Hindi and English

• Experience working with internal and external partners to build great customer experiences

• 4+ years’ experience in process management

• 4+ years in content management, with proficiency in content management systems and other content creation tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience in copywriting and editing

• Professional experience in writing news headlines or marketing copy, creative writing or game design

• Strong written and verbal communication skills--experience in communicating to senior management

• Experience with voice or multimodal text-to-speech interfaces

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment

• Basic knowledge of GenAI offerings
