AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

· Own strategy and vision for creating and launching a net-new student club program.

· Work closely with AWS Academic Advocacy, regional Community Managers, and the AWS User Group program lead, to align resources, playbooks, and content strategy to support launch and scaling of student clubs globally.

· Explore opportunities to cross-promote AWS student clubs across existing AWS EDU programs and initiatives.

· Collaborate with student club leaders, gather feedback, and evolve program offerings to meet the needs of student leaders.

· Identify high-impact student club leaders, and in partnership with the AWS Community Team, explore opportunities for collaboration and recognition.

· Manage processes for analyzing and quantifying the reach and impact of student clubs, and evolve the program structure as needed based on data-driven analysis and to align to shifting business objectives.

A day in the life

Are you an experienced community program manager who is passionate about building relationships with student communities? Are you familiar with user groups or study groups targeted towards university students? Do you gravitate towards the program management side of community building: creating frameworks, processes, and playbooks, to help scale community programs globally but also want to stay hands-on within a developer community? Are you interested in managing student outreach in APJ while also managing a global community? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced and driven community program manager to own and program manage a new community focused on Builders at universities.

This role will sit within our AWS Developer Experience organization. Our goal is to win the hearts and minds of developers around the world by meeting them where they are and providing the right technical education, tools, and resources to enable developer success.

As Community Program Manager, you will be responsible for creating, owning, program managing, and driving a vision of growth for a net-new community initiative targeting higher education students globally, an online version of our current award-winning AWS Cloud Clubs program. You will create a global framework supporting the launch of virtual Cloud Clubs as a global program supporting peer-to-peer learning. You will also be tasked with supporting the largest community in these clubs: our students in APJ.

This role will sit within our AWS Developer Relations organization. Our goal is to win the hearts and minds of developers around the world by meeting them where they are and providing the right technical education, tools, and resources to enable developer success.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
