Philips Architect I - Java, Cloud in Bangalore, India
You are responsible for
Accelerating software development cycles in cloud and feedback loops through faster, shorter release cycles by providing automation throughout the entire Lifecycle
Evaluates, implements necessary tooling/automation for the development process and easier onboarding of various services. Develops build and deployment automation scripts
Designing, testing and deploying the necessary infrastructure and platform components for a software platform
Problem Solving and Trouble shooting complex issues
Advances, develops various methods and approaches for DevOps. Influences and educates units involved in the software development life cycle, focusing on design, test, and deployment from a DevOps perspective
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
At least 10 years of experience in developing Java applications
Must be hands-on and participate in development of applications
Have good knowledge on Microservices.
Have good knowledge on Spring boot, WebFlux, Java 8 (or higher), Databases, Message brokers, Rest apis.
Strong technical skills and proven design and architecting skills
Shown success as an individual contributor as well as team lead. Has consistently demonstrated ability and commitment to deliver on major releases
Ability to provide technical and architectural leadership to the team
Experience in working in multi-site environment and representing the team
Experience in development using Agile practices
Exercised exemplary development practices including design specification, coding standards, unit testing, and code reviews.
Experience in handling the software craftmanship elements like code duplication, dynamic & static analysis, continuous improvements will be a definite plus
Experience in Continuous integration
Willingness to "go the extra mile" when needed
Strong knowledge of the Open Service Broker API.
Experience or knowledge of service broker development.
Preferred knowledge of CloudFoundry & CF CLI.
