nVent Production Supervisor in Bangalore, Indiana

In this section, the purpose is to indicate from 6-8 key or strategic responsibilities of the position. The goal is to give a potential candidate an idea about the main parts of the role and how he/she can add value in this role at nVent.

Examples include:

  • Better machining knowledge that clear feasibility questions.

  • Coordination over welding procedure and welder qualification based on ISO15614/ISO15609 , ISO9606 and ISO 15085

  • Preparing weld sequence and weld plan for running shop floor based on design requirements.

  • Research and processing the new development jobs for robotic Welding.

  • Involving in development of Jigs and Fixtures to reduce the production time and dimensional errors.

  • Monitoring and ensuring the Fabrication processes are carrying out as per fabrication procedure.

  • Ensuring weld quality , raw material dimension , dimension issue , NDT , paint quality , fit up & other final inspections.

  • Reporting unsafe practices and unsafe zone to the production supervisor.

  • Preparing Corrective and preventive action plan for NCR raised by customer and executing the same in shop floor.

  • Making NDT coordination with clear plan of customer guide lines.

  • Sound good knowledge in all sorts of NPD and NDT documentations which very helps through cut all customer requirements

  • Academic background in Engineering, Science, Safety or Environmental fields

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Safety or Environmental fields

  • Previous experience in or with (list top 3):

  • Control of Welding Process

  • Production supervision

  • Handle complete dept certifications – Welding related(Key characteristic-WPS, WPQR, WQTC)

  • Skills (list top 3) :

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present and influence views in a clear and compelling manner

  • English (intermediate or above)

  • Inhouse welding process qualifications and inspection

  • Physical and environmental abilities (list top 4, if in a plant/manufacturing environment):

  • Bend, squat down, and reach above your head

  • Climb stairs and ladders

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds

  • Work in confined spaces
