SUMMARY:

Position will be responsible to manage the production schedule and drive improvements in planning and operational processes; analyze forecasts and inventory changes; provide accurate and timely information to ensure customer requirements are met and site resources are optimized in most efficient method.

Responsibilities

  1. Use MRP System to forecast production demand, manage customer forecast, safety stock requirements, and maintain desired inventory levels.

  2. Monitor the schedule and plan production on specific molds and machines.

  3. Generate reports and analyze data to ensure optimal supply chain flow.

  4. Process and expedite orders and communicate daily with Customer Service Representatives of any concerns.

  5. Monitor slow moving inventory and obsolescence and drive improvements to achieve inventory goals and reduce obsolescence.

  6. Monitor production value.

  7. Work with manufacturing, maintenance and support departments to improve production efficiencies.

  8. Balance current and future customer demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities.

  9. Recommend adjustments to forecasts and inventory levels.

  10. Perform month end activities (e.g.., close work orders) and prioritize rework activities as needed.

  11. Prioritize rework activities.

  12. Support ongoing Plant ISO requirements

  13. Support the plant and corporate operational goals,

  14. Participate in weekly Scheduling calls, provide feedback and status updates, and facilitate changes to ensure efficient operations planning.

  15. Accepts responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements. And has the authority to report concerns that could impact these requirements or suggest areas for improvement.

  16. Serve as back-up for Planning Supervisor, as needed, to oversee daily operation in the department.

  17. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. 4 year college degree in business, supply chain management or related field.

  2. Prefer 2+ years experience in Demand Planning/Supply Chain management in complex, high volume manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  3. Previous experience with MRP systems such as JD Edwards, etc.

  4. Excellent oral and written skills.

  5. Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel.

  6. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.

  7. Strong analytical and math skills with proven ability to apply that knowledge.
