CareFirst Senior Treasury Analyst (Remote) in Baltimore, Maryland

PURPOSE:
The Sr Treasury Analyst assists the Manager Treasury with analysis of the organization's financial activity, cash flow management, credit, income, asset levels, and liability obligations. The analyst will be responsible for managing banking vendor relationships and services. Analyst will coordinate with all internal finance, accounting, and accounts departments to ensure correct money management. Position will analyze financial patterns and make projections for corporate cashflows.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Point person on the Cash Flow Forecasting Process. Collaborating with the Manager of Treasury and other areas in the company. Protects financial assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. Create wire templates and provide payment confirmations. Research problems related to bank transactions Ensure activities are in accordance with corporate treasury policies and procedures.
Point person on preparing monthly dashboards, including working with the Director, Data Engineering and the automation team. Assists Analyst, treasury in maintaining the bank account database in the treasury workstation. Power user of treasury management system (TMS). Manage banking relationships, resources and activities (e.g. account opening and closure, documentation/authorities, wire disbursements, Letters of Credit, miscellaneous issues resolution)
Develop dashboard for Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) and bank revolvers. Supports financial transactions by entering account information, collecting and analyzing information for financial evaluations, due diligence, acquisition financing and integration.
Assist Treasury Manager with leading working capital management program. Manages cash and debt balances by analyzing banking structures, credit, collections, recommending improved strategies and forecasting. Monitor third party payment activity and reconcile against projected balances. Assists Manager, Treasury with optimizing corporate liquidity, ensuring the strategic and efficient allocation of cash resources, and fostering intercompany cash synergy.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Position does not have direct reports but is expected to assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff. May lead a team of matrixed resources.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Insurance, related field or equivalent training OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Licenses/Certifications Preferred:
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)-AFP
Experience: 5 years Corporate Finance or Treasury operations in an analytical capacity.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Ability to break down complex processes into simpler parts for analysis.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to present and discuss technical and non-technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data.
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Thorough knowledge of regulations, corporate policies and procedures, portfolio management, bank relationships, and investment accounting.
Excellent analytical skills, as well as the ability to demonstrate flexibility, innovation, problem solving skills and resourcefulness.
Strong business acumen and attention to detail.
Must be a self-motivated individual with excellent organizational work habits. Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. Requires highest level of integrity.
Proficiency in PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
Salary Range: $65,304 - $129,701
