CareFirst Sales Intern Winter/Spring Recruitment - (Hybrid) MD/VA/DC only in Baltimore, Maryland

Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:

Motivated and detailed Sales intern to join the Large Group Commercial Market Account Managment Team. This internship will get hands on experience in the health insurance industry, supporting our team in managing client relationships, driving sales initiatives, and contributing to the growth of our business.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Support the sales team in addressing client inquiries and ensuring client satisfaction

  • Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and proposals

  • Develop an understanding of the health insurance industry including benefit & mandate requirements for fully insured, self-insured, and Medicare Advantage groups

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: This position requires an individual working towards an Undergraduate Bachelor's level degree from an accredited College or University.

Experience: Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above.

Knowledge Skills Abilities (KSA's):

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to work as part of a team as well as independently.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Sharepoint) and the Internet.

Salary Range Disclaimer

The hire range posted is an annual rate. This internship role is paid at an hourly rate of $18.50/hour.
