Johns Hopkins University Research Technologist in Baltimore, Maryland

Research Administration is seeking a Research Technologist who will be able to perform the data analysis from conducted laboratory protocols and various research activities of Dr. Gill’s program of research.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Will keep a laboratory notebook for data tracing, reproducibility, and proper research documentation techniques.

  • Will be trained to properly analyze and interpret data using various relevant computer software applications and aid in preparation of summaries of laboratory findings in final form for publication in reports and papers to be presented at scientific meetings or publication in scientific journals.

  • This employee will participate in various research projects and collaborations, performing proper analysis on samples with necessary assays as defined by research protocols.

  • Conduct library research and aid in preparing manuscripts, scientific illustrations and computer graphics for publication. Prepare material for journal articles and grant proposals.

  • Able to learn various data analysis protocols.

  • Able to multi-task and work multiple projects at once.

Physical Requirements

  • Proficient computer skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some related post-undergraduate work experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in excel, word.

Role/Level/Range: ACRO40/E/02/CC

Starting Salary Range : $15.50 - $26.00 HRLY ($20,485 targeted; Commensurate with experience)

Employee group: Casual / On Call

Schedule : Monday - Friday Schedule Varies (Up to 20hrs per week)
