ASR Group/Domino Sugar Quality Systems Coordinator in Baltimore, Maryland

POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Systems Coordinator is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of SQF certification, Quality and Food Safety systems (including the Prerequisite Programs), and the HACCP plan for applicable ASR Group location(s).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and improve site SQF certification

  • Implement ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams.

  • Initiate and own CAPAs to resolve concerns related to Quality Systems

  • Manage customer audits and investigate customer complaints

  • Lead cross-functional Food Safety team including regular meetings with the Food Safety team to exchange information and discuss new procedures or equipment related to food safety

  • Implement procedures to support quality and food safety systems

  • Deliver training and orientation materials about HACCP and related topics (GMPs, sanitation, etc.)

  • Interact with ASR corporate staff on methods and policies development

  • Interact with Supplier Quality on approving new suppliers and new ingredients

  • Interact with purchasing, maintenance, process, packaging and warehouse supervisory teams to ensure reliability of food safety programs

  • Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives, and performance to plan.

  • Practices and promotes GMPs and plant safety procedures

  • Performs other duties as assigned

    REQUIRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college/university

  • At least 2 years of applicable professional experience working with quality & food safety systems

  • At least 2 years working in a manufacturing environment

  • HACCP and related food safety training with experience in the development and maintenance of HACCP Plans

  • SQF or other related GFSI benchmarked standard training / certification

  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance/Control practices and procedures

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English

    PREFERRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Advanced degree in a related field of discipline from an accredited college university

  • Experience working as a SQF practitioner

  • Experience leading an internal audit team​​​​​​

    SALARY PAY RANGE: $61,000 - $114,000 plus bonus

    The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

    Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs) available the first of the month following 30 days of employment, 401(k) with match, life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, vacation, holiday and sick time.
