Job Title: Pipe Fitter

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our dynamic team, responsible for various tasks including reading and understanding P&ID and orthogonal drawings, creating isometric drawings, and installing in-line instrumentation, valves, and other appurtenances. The role requires expertise in handling materials such as Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Fiberglass, PVC, HDPE, and Copper in specified dimensions. You will also be accountable for accurately laying out pipelines considering changes in elevation, direction, and flow. This position includes occasional weekend work with a typical schedule of four 10-hour shifts starting at 6:30 AM, and tasks will be performed across multiple sites in VA and MD.

Hard Skills

  • Understanding of P&ID and orthogonal drawings

  • Creation of isometric drawings

  • Experience with various piping materials (Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Fiberglass, PVC, HDPE, Copper)

  • Pipeline layout and installation skills

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in harsh weather conditions

  • Flexibility with work hours and locations

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Baltimore, Maryland.

Work Environment

Working onsite at heavy industrial projects, including new construction for manufacturing plants and heavy mechanical construction. The role involves working in various weather conditions, and occasionally, contractors may need to shovel snow to access work sites.
