We are looking for:
- As the On Premise Hosting Specialist you will play a pivotal role in establishing the new on premise environment for Syensqo in closely linked with cloud strategy . This is a unique opportunity to architect and shape the future of ourOn prem infrastructure.
We count on you for:
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of on-premises servers, storage, and networking infrastructure.
Ensuring systems are running efficiently and are available to meet business and operational needs.
Contributing to continuous automation and optimization
Optimizing of usage of Cloud resources
Scaling App services and database
Monitoring Application - System and troubleshooting issues
Scheduling and supervising maintenance and upgrade activities to ensure data center infrastructure meets current and future requirements.
Monitoring data center capacity and performance. Plan and implement capacity expansion projects as needed to support business growth and technology advancements.
Developing and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Conduct regular tests to ensure the effectiveness of these plans.
Implement and oversee security policies and procedures to protect data center assets and data. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the data center budget. Oversee procurement and cost optimization efforts to ensure efficient use of resources.
Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
Provide regular reports on data center operations, performance metrics, and project status to senior management
DevSecOps Practices: Advocate for and implement DevSecOps approaches, ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant infrastructure management, including handling certificates, security scanning, and single sign-on solutions.
Education and experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications would be a plus.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a leadership and technical role related to On premise activities
Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing Cloud strategies for large user bases.
Cybersecurity Expertise:
-Understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and frameworks.
Knowledge of encryption, identity management, access controls, and other security measures within cloud environments.
Experience in managing complex technology migrations and lifecycle management.
Project management skills to plan and execute data-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
Agile or other project management methodologies experience is a plus
Certifications related to data center management (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, CDCE).
Experience with energy efficiency and sustainability practices in data centers.
Knowledge of emerging technologies such as cloud computing and virtualization, and how they can be integrated with on-premises data center operations.
Experience with Industrial-laboratory industries is a plus
