Robert Half Medical Customer Service Representative in Baltimore, Maryland

Description

Position Overview: You will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for patients. You will be the friendly and detail-oriented face of our facility, dedicated to providing exceptional support and service.

Your responsibilities will include handling patient inquiries, managing appointments, and assisting with insurance and billing matters, all while upholding our commitment to compassionate care and operational excellence. Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW), Athena, Epic, and MyChart is preferred, though candidates with experience in similar healthcare management systems are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities: Patient Interaction:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing questions about services, appointment scheduling, and general inquiries with empathy and professionalism.

  • Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments while ensuring optimal use of resources and minimizing wait times.

  • Insurance and Billing Assistance: Assist patients with insurance verification, billing inquiries, and understanding their coverage options.

  • Provide accurate information and support regarding medical billing processes.

  • Records Management: Maintain and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.

  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and current.

  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve patient concerns or complaints promptly and effectively, escalating issues to supervisors when necessary.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff, administrative teams, and other departments to coordinate patient care and improve service delivery.

  • Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks such as managing phone lines, handling patient intake forms, and processing referrals as need

    Requirements Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or higher in a related field is a plus. Experience: Minimum of two years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting. Experience with medical terminology and insurance procedures is highly desirable. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is beneficial. Attributes: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and provide exceptional customer service.
