Nature of Work:The Recruitment and Examinations Unit (REU) Analyst is located in the Office of Human Resources and Workforce Development and will support the MDTAs recruitment efforts on a wide range of administrative, technical, labor, and professional positions. This involves full lifecycle recruitment activities including but not limited to: Coordinating with hiring managers to determine the most successful recruitment and selection strategy; Creating and updating job requisitions and exam plans; Updating multiple HR systems and databases; Reviewing and/or crafting interview questions and assessments; Creating and posting job announcements; Reviewing employment applications for required qualifications, updating candidates on application status, and scheduling interviews; Processing selected candidates through the employment offer process, and; Promoting the agencys recruitment efforts at internal and external job fairs. The current vacancy is for a Recruitment and Examinations Unit Analyst. However, this recruitment may also be used to fill future HR Analyst I vacancies in the Employee Services/Benefits or Classification/Compensation functional HR areas. Classification and Compensation Employees in this function will learn to analyze and evaluate positions for reclassification by interpreting and applying job evaluation standards. This work includes conducting interviews and extensive research to gather pertinent information, writing detailed memorandums, making technically sound recommendations concerning compensation actions, and acting as a technical resource for employees and supervisors. Employment Services and Benefits Employees in this function will support MDTAs workforce throughout the full employment lifecycle. This includes facilitating first-day orientation for new hires, processing employment transactions in HR systems, handling timekeeping issues, and will serve as an Employee Benefits Coordinator and Retirement Coordinator.

Employees in this position will report directly to an HR Unit Manager. The current vacancy will report to the Recruitment and Examinations Manager. The current vacancy is located in Baltimore, MD. Hybrid telework schedules may be available for this position.
