Nature of Work:The Fleet Administrator functions as a member of the senior advisory staff within the Operations Division of the MDTA. The position is responsible for the oversight of MDTAs Fleet Equipment Management Division, Emergency Generator-Marine Maintenance Division, and eight heavy equipment maintenance shops.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Works with the Fleet Management team to annually assess fleet needs and conditions;
• Oversees the budget, procurement process, inspection, configuration audits, delivery, and deployment for all rolling stock equipment;
• Manages the fleet vehicle accident and repair contract;
• Monitors and records monthly mileage logs, repairs, and accident data for fleet vehicles; and
• Interacts with agency heavy equipment maintenance shops, Heavy Equipment Maintenance Supervisors, Chief Facility Maintenance Officers, and Facility Administratorsforthe repair and replacement of vehicles and equipment.

The position reports directly to the

Director of Traffic Management and Technology.
