Description
Robert Half is working with a thriving company to find a skilled Financial Analyst. Are you looking for work as a Financial Analyst? In this position, you would have the opportunity to become a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. In this position, you will conduct financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measure, analyze and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management will also be part of this position. This Financial Analyst role is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity in the Baltimore, Maryland, area.
Your responsibilities
Individual that enjoys a flexible work environment, experienced in handling vast amounts of information and managing expectations
Understand and communicate internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Watch over annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations
Empower effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
Operate with key senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Keep up weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
Produce and manage forecasting reports
Work next to cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Study performance to date and examine potential risks and opportunities
Power monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Requirements
Strong familiarity with KPI Reporting
Financial analysis experience
Financial reporting experience
Microsoft Excel experience
Knowledge of business analysis
Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferred)
Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system
Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
